CBC Test
A complete blood count (CBC) is a blood test used to evaluate your overall health and detect a wide range of disorders, including anemia, infection and leukemia.
HbA1c Test
HbA1c test stands for glycated or glycosylated hemoglobin test. This test helps measure average blood sugar levels for the past 3 months. The HbA1c test is used for diagnosis as well as monitoring purposes. Your doctor suggests an HbA1c test to see whether your diabetes is controlled or not. Pre-diabetics, people having borderline diabetes, are also advised to get tested to check how stable their blood sugar levels are.
Cystatin C Test
Cystatin C is a protein that is produced by the cells in your body. When kidneys are working well, they keep the level of cystatin C in your blood just right. If the level of cystatin C in your blood is too high, it may mean that your kidneys are not working well. It is a very sensitive test for early detection of kidney disease.
Liver Function Test
Liver Function Test (LFT) is a profile of blood tests that provide useful information about the state of the liver. It measures the levels of proteins, liver enzymes and bilirubin in your blood. LFT test includes parameters such as Albumin Test, Bilirubin Test, SGOT, SGPT and more.
Rheumatoid factor Test
A rheumatoid factor (RF) test detects rheumatoid factor in a patient’s blood. Rheumatoid factor is an autoantibody produced by the immune system. While normal antibodies attack pathogens like bacteria and viruses, autoantibodies such as RF mistakenly attack the body’s healthy cells and tissues.
Serum Iron Test
The serum iron test is used to measure the amount of iron that is in transit in the body – the iron that is bound to transferrin in the blood. Along with other tests, it is used to help detect and diagnose iron deficiency or iron overload. Testing may also be used to help differentiate various causes of anemia.
Urine ACR
Urine albumin to creatinine ratio (ACR), also known as urine microalbumin, helps identify kidney disease very early that can occur as a complication of diabetes. If kidney disease is diagnosed early in people with diabetes, appropriate treatment can be given and its effects can be closely monitored.
Lipid Profile Test
In diabetes it is important to know the cardiac risk. A lipid profile usually includes the levels of total cholesterol, high-density lipoprotein (HDL) cholesterol, triglycerides, and the calculated low-density lipoprotein (LDL) ‘cholesterol. Your doctor can use it to measure the amount of “good” and “bad” cholesterol and triglycerides, a type of fat, in your blood and can asses the cardiac risk.
CRP Test
A CRP test measures the amount of CRP in the blood to detect inflammation due to acute conditions or to monitor the severity of disease in chronic conditions. CRP is a non-specific indicator of inflammation and one of the most sensitive acute phase reactants.
Antinuclear antibodies Test
An ANA test detects antinuclear antibodies (ANA) in your blood. Your immune system normally makes antibodies to help you fight infection. In contrast, antinuclear antibodies often attack your body’s own tissues — specifically targeting each cell’s nucleus. Conditions that usually cause a positive ANA test include: Systemic lupus erythematosus, Sjögren’s syndrome — a disease that causes dry eyes and mouth, Scleroderma — a connective tissue disease, Rheumatoid arthritis — this causes joint damage, pain, and swelling, Polymyositis – a disease that causes muscle weakness.
